The variety of successfully completed cases related to child-parent, alimony and marital relations gives our lawyers grounds to proudly recall some decisions that are quite rare in our legal system, regarding determining the place of residence of children with their father, significant change in the amount of alimony, retrospective reduction in alimony penalties, and settlement agreements that were reached.

The lawyers have a unique experience in the field of protection of intellectual property of large Russian manufacturers, as well as small businesses in cases against trading giants. Our team defended products of a Russian household goods manufacturer by challenging a competitor's industrial design patent. Evidence was presented to Rospatent (Federal Service for Intellectual Property) that our client produced and sold disputed products long before the priority date of the patent.

After the competitor's patent was declared invalid and the decision was approved by the Intellectual Property Court, the lawyers registered a patent for the client's products. In a case against a well-known cosmetic brand, lawyers defended the client by proving that there was no intent to use the brand for profit.

Due to the well-developed position, the amount of compensation for violation of the exclusive right to a trademark was reduced from 5,000,000 rubles to 30,000 rubles. Lawyers were engaged in a complex intellectual property dispute between two manufacturers of similar products using similar designations to individualize products. The dispute was heard by Rospatent, the Court for Intellectual Property Rights, the Federal Antimonopoly Service for several years and ended in our client’s victory.

The lawyers proved the absence of confusion between the two designations in the eyes of consumers and protected the client from the recovery of significant compensation. Such cases require the representative to have a special power of persuasion, since the decision is made by the court from the position of an ordinary consumer of a product. As part of legal services, our team managed to register as a trademark the designations of the client who decided to expand his business to other regions of the country, and we also prepared a complete set of documents for the entry into the franchise market.
